12/20/2023 0 Comments Juicebox charger not connecting![]() ![]() Didn't matter if it was plugged into the car or not. Pressing the the disconnect button on the handle immediately set the box chirping. But I did discover what triggered the error, It had nothing to do with removing the plug handle from the car. This did clear the error but didn't fix the recurring error on every unplugging. I contacted EnelX (which is what Juicebox has morphed into) and we tried a few things including leaving it unplugged for 24 hours. Resetting the circuit breaker usually fixed it but the last time it stayed on the GFI error after leaving the breaker off for 20 min. Updating this in case someone finds it later.Īfter I posted this, every charge ended with the GFI error. I know there are a lot of folks here knowledgeable about these sorts of issues so I'm wondering: Does the explanation makes sense? Can the wet conditions have an effect? Or, is there something potentially wrong with my Juicebox or the car's socket? But I don't really think I've changed the way I unplug the thing recently.īoth times have been rainy days and both the car and the juicebox are outside, so maybe that has something to do with it? Also, both times it was after charging overnight with several hours of sitting plugged in after the car was fully charged. ![]() I called Juicebox and they say that it may be caused by unplugging too quickly and recommended holding the unplug latch for a second or two before pulling the plug. I have to turn off the circuit breaker (on the other side of the house) for 2 minutes (and it really needs those full 2 minutes, at least it needs more than the 15-20 seconds I started with). I unplug my Juicebox 40 and the box starts beeping and flashing. ![]()
